TOM'S GERMAN CHOCOLATE BIRTHDAY CAKE

This is my husband Toms birthday cake.

He requested I make him a German Chocolate cake, with coconut pecan filling.

I added little fondant images shaped into things that remind me of him. The Canadian maple leaf, because he was born there. The Us flag, because he became a citizen a few years back. The LiveStrong logo, because he loves to bike ride, and the green apples because that is his favorite fruit.
I was going to ad a vacuum cleaner, because he really really loves to vacuum, but I thought that would be too much....maybe next year! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY BUNNY!!!!

Beach Birthday!

This cake was made for my mother Maria to celebrate her birthday. She has always loved the beach and I wanted to reflect that in this special cake for her.
This is a two layer 8" round chocolate cake. The filling is chocolate bravarian cream with bannana filling. This size cake serves aprox 30.

The shells are all made out of white and dark chocolate.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND CAKE

This  is a cake I created for a baby shower for a family friend.
It's a 12" double layer strawberry flavored round cake, with three 6" layers on top to form the top-hat.
The filling is Bravarian Cream with fresh strawberries and bannans, as well as chocolate chips baked into the center layer of the top-hat.
All the decorations are of course, edible....except for the cake topper.

I sculpted the tea-pot out of clay and then painted it so that the mother to be can have a keep sake for her new baby...who's name just happens to be "Alice".

The 1/7 on the cake signifies the date of the baby shower.                                                                                                               Back side of cake
